Originàriament, una trucada rebuda del taulell d'un hotel al matí. ~~També pot voler dir, en un sentit més literal, <i>trucada despertador</i>.&&Cal no confondres els verbs <b>wake up</b> i <b>get up</b> (<i>despertar-se</i> i <i>aixecar-se</i>_, respectivament. Exemple: <b>I wake up with the birds but never get up till the sun is out</b> = <i>(Em desperto amb els ocells però no m'aixeco mai fins que hagi sortit el sol)</i>.
